Dr Hartung qualified from the University of Dusseldorf in 1988 and undertook Pre-Registration House Officer posts in New Zealand. Having started his Senior House Officer (SHO) training in the UK in 1990, he has held several posts, culminating in an appointment to the East of Scotland Specialist Registrar Training Scheme in Medicine. His CCST was granted on 1 July 2004.
Dr Barvaux qualified from the University of Louvain in 1996 and had Pre-Registration House Officer and Senior House Officer posts within General Medicine in Belgium. He secured a place on the Senior House Officer European Exchange Programme for his third year of SHO training and was posted at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. Dr Barvaux obtained CCST in Respiratory Medicine in November 2001 and General Medicine in March 2004.
