Crosshouse Hospital is situated on the outskirts of Kilmarnock and borders the village of Crosshouse en route for Irvine (A71). There is a regular (approximately every 10-15 minutes) public transport service from Kilmarnock. Buses enter the hospital grounds and stop at a bus stop situated just outside the main entrance doors to the hospital. Limited car parking is available.

From Glasgow by bus:
Half hour service from Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station to Kilmarnock Bus Station, from where local bus/taxi services can be accessed. There is also an Express bus service from Glasgow.
Travelling by train
From Glasgow by train:
Half hour service from Glasgow Central Station to Kilmarnock Station, Kilmarnock Town Centre - journey time approximately 40 minutes. From there local bus services can be accessed.

Glasgow to Ayr:
Monday to Sunday via Paisley, Johnstone, Kilwinning, Irvine, Troon, Prestwick Airport, Prestwick Town, Newton on Ayr - Ayr. Trains for Ayr depart from Glasgow Central Station every 30 minutes on the hour and the half-hour
Ayr- Kilmarnock:
Monday to Sunday via Ayr -Prestwick Town - Prestwick International Airport – Troon - Kilmarnock

From Glasgow:
A77 from Glasgow to Kilmarnock, then follow the signs for Irvine (A71). Non-parking 'drop-off' & 'pick-up' points are next to the main entrance.
Cycle Parking
Bicycle and moped cycle parking stands are available at Crosshouse Hospital next to the Physiotherapy corridor entrance. Cycle users must provide their own cycle locks to secure their cycles.
Car Parking
Car parking spaces are available, including disabled car parking and designated parking bays for use by patients and visitors. You may drop patients at the main entrance but please do not park there as this causes an obstruction to ambulances and the disabled.
Disabled drivers’ car parking
Disabled parking facilities are close to the hospital entrance. The main disabled car park is situated to the right of the main driveway opposite the entrance to the Physiotherapy Department.
There are signs directing you to this facility as you approach the hospital. An intercom is available which allows you to speak to the security staff directly. Alternatively before your visit to the hospital, you can telephone the portering staff and inform them of your parking requirements.
