Ayrshire Central Hospital lies on the edge of the town of Irvine approximately 20 minutes by public transport from Kilmarnock. There is a regular public transport service, with bus stops situated just outside the main entrance to the hospital grounds. Limited parking is available.

From Glasgow:

By train: Regular service from Glasgow Central Station to Irvine Railway Station. From there local services can be accessed.

By bus: Half hour service from Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station to Kilmarnock Bus Station, from where local bus/taxi services can be accessed. There is also an Express bus service from Glasgow - details available from Stagecoach.

By car: A77 from Glasgow to Kilmarnock, then follow the signs for Irvine (A71). If travelling through Irvine Town Centre, Ayrshire Central Hospital is situated on the A737. If travelling to avoid the town centre, follow the A78 to the Eglinton Interchange, then follow the exit for the A737.
