Volunteers from Ayr Hospital Radio were kept busy last month as they showcased their talents at three different events in just one day.
On Saturday 27 August volunteers from the station pulled off a major feat as they entertained people from all over Ayrshire at the various events, showing the public what they can do.
Some of the team were on hand at Ayr Hospital’s Open Day to show visitors around their studio while they broadcast live to patients.
While the Open Day took place, other volunteers were performing at the Newmilns Gala Day, entertaining the crowds with music and special guest entertainers. Volunteers Derek Wilson, Alister Murray and Stephen Drury made sure everyone at the Gala Day enjoyed themselves and joined in the fun.
For all football fans, Mike Manley and Ryan Hunter from the radio station were at Rugby Park in Kilmarnock in the afternoon relaying live commentary at the Kilmarnock-Livingston game. The pair also got the fantastic opportunity to interview Killie Manager Jim Jeffries and General Manager Dave McKinnon after the game.
After an exhausting day for all, Radio Manager Mike Manley is understandingly proud of his team.
He said: "I am so proud of every volunteer for taking part in the different events and for the way they conducted themselves on the day.
"It is our job to keep patients entertained with a variety of different programmes to suit all tastes and we strive to do it well. Patients have phoned us at the station to congratulate us on our efforts and success on the day.
"Messages like that make all our efforts and hard work worthwhile and makes us proud of what we do."
